Woke to a grey morning after a uneventful night shift we did see 1 big liner in the distance under Jans watch.
With the wind and swell dieing we are going a bit slower, although the change of direction yesterday meant that instead of leaning against the wall of my cabin i was now struggling to stay in bed.
The only plan it seemed after waking a few times scrabbling at the mattress was to sleep on the floor hey ho.

Then this morning with just myself under watch I saw the 1st sighting of the orcas I saw them twice in front of the boat but they had gone by the time everyone else had got on deck.
The next sighting was this afternoon when I could see these hugh dorsel fins swimming towards the back of the boat very exciting ,then one swam by very close and you could see clear as day the fantastic animal, they swam around the boat a few times the departed.

After a very nice fish and chilli stir fry we decided to get out my big red one ( the cruising chute or spinakker ).This gave us a bit  more speed and is still up now as I write this looking very pretty.

Power was once again an issue for us today so we got the generator out to help power up the batteries for a few hours barlely making any sound as we placed it on the bow and are downwind sailing.
We now have just 2000 miles to sail having done 800 already soon be there

Thanks for reading

Take care
