We sailed from Bequia to Clifton on Union Island. Only about 5 hours but due to recent seasickness we decided to send Oliver with Lynn and Wendy on the fast catamaran ferry that only takes 1.5 hours and doesn’t roll around like Spindrift does when we pass between the islands and get the Atlantic roll. He enjoyed the ferry experience. They arrived a couple of hours before Spindrift and had lunch while we arrived and organised dinghy and outboard, etc. We contacted a local engineer who had fixed some problems last time we were here (seven years ago) and he came out the next morning and fixed a problem with the diesel generator. We have been generating battery power from the main engine for the last week – not the most efficient and quite noisy. The watermaker has now failed so we will need to fill with water before we leave as there is none at the anchorages we plan for the next week or so.

Today (Saturday) we plan to leave Clifton and go to an anchorage at Chatham Bay, just round the corner at Union Island. From Chatham Bay then we will go to Tobago Cays and back to Union Island at some point in the next week.
