Amoret and crew crossed the Tropic of Cancer this morning so are in "the tropics" . The wind is veering east as forecast on yesterday's grib files so we have stowed the pole and returned to plain sailing on a broad reach (three reefs in main and full genoa) in mainly force 5. Expectation is to reach Sal in Cpe Verde Is sometime on Sunday. No whales yet today but a gull - just about within range of the coast of Western Sahara or Mauretania.
