Reaching Madeira

We reached Quinta do Lorde marina in Madeira a week
ago after a passage which was a bit boisterous for he first 24 hours but became
increasingly placid and pleasant. This is a really pleasant and well-run little
marina near the east extremity of Madeira that forms the first phase of a resort
village that is currently being built. Jacqui, John & Chris flew home on the
day after arrival afer making a fine job of cleaning the boat, so I then
spent some time shopping, fixing a loo door that succumbed to a low-flying
person during the passage and researching the walking potential of Madeira. Here
are some pictures of our last few hours at sea and the east end of
Madeira.
