On the way to the Cape Verde Islands

We left La Gomera in the Canaries on Monday
afternoon and are now a couple of hundred miles off the coast of Mauretania on
our way to Sal in the Cape Verde Islands. Sailing down the NE Trade winds so we
have a triple-reefed main with a preventer and have poled out a reefed genoa on
the other side. Swell is about 4m almost behind us, so progress at present is
quite quick. Wildlife has been good on the passage so far - close encounters
with a pod of pilot whale on Monday and five killer whale (including a big bull)
criss-crossing our bows like dolphin a few hours ago.
