After a few days holed up at Sounion due to a strong
Metemi, we finally sailed back to Pireus Marina in
Athens.
Many of our crew had jumped ship in Sounion and caught
taxis to the airport for their return flights. So with a small crew and good
winds we had an enjoyable sail back to Athens and arrived at the Marina in time
for drinks and dinner, followed (for me) by a party with the Athenian Yacht
Charter guys until 5:00am when I jumped in a taxi to catch my flight to Corfu on
the other side of Greece to spend a couple of weeks on another yacht, Cordelia,
in the Ionian Sea.
