Tuesday 9th  June - As of midnight I was at position 14:42.07S 147:04.83W

On Monday night I was invited over for drinks and dinner buy the only other boat in the anchorage ‘Kachina’. The owners were a New Zealand couple who had bought the boat in the States and were slowly making there way back home. The wonderful thing was I was served me up the most amazing bit of Steak I have had in some time, it was thick, juicy and rare just how I like it. I think my body almost went in to shock after having to digest the delicious red meat. Well anyhow after the typical discussion of do you have any DVD’s to swap Rachael showed me how to copy and burn DVD’s. This obviously excited me as I can now borrow complete sets of DVD’s rip them and then give them back and it only takes about 20 minutes per DVD. All I need now is a whole heap of blank DVD’s so I know where I will be going when I make it to Tahiti.

I left the Anchorage about 12:30PM this time I set the boat to Auto and I stood up on top of the dingy so I could see if there were any coral heads I needed to be careful off. All was fine so I headed off slowly out into the deep with a lazy 8 Knots of wind pushing Silky slowly towards her destination while I kicked back and read a book.
