After our Saturday night out on the town I got back to the stupid toilet being blocked witch meant I had to set about fixing it at midnight as you do.   Anyhow after all efforts it did not come good so I continued on with the plumbing in the morning. This meant we pulled up our anchor on Sunday 5th October at 10:14AM and headed off to Santo Antonio 37:12.57N 7:24.85W

My stupid morning consisted of smacking the poo pipe against the side of the boat to break up god only knows what ever was inside. But believe me I struggle to imagine it could come out of any man or woman for that matter. This is the second time I have had the main effluent pipe out and the sixth time I have had to ‘play’ repair the toilet. As I smacked the pipe against the boat it gained weight in its centre and when dumped over board pieces of what only could be described as molded cement, fell into the water. If you could imagine a hardened blocked artery then the same principle applies to our little toilet. To add to the problem our loo is electric which means we have more stuff to go wrong and to top that off electric toilets use 1.25” plumbing where and normal toilet uses about a 2” pipe so we are more susceptible to a blockage.

Anyhow who cares when you have a view like ours from your bedroom window. See picture attached.

Special comments by Fiona:. We had perfect weather in San Antonio, amazing blue skies, calm water and beautiful sunshine.  We were anchored in the middle of the river, literally on the border of Portugal and the South of Spain.  I took the photo of our view from our bedroom at sunset – that’s what it’s all about!

Attached is a photo of me on Denis and Sadie’s 54 foot yacht Graceful.  Their yacht, or should I say palace, is pure luxury.  I always enjoy a visit to their floating home.  But I still wouldn’t swap Silky for any-thing, she’s our cosy little palace in her own right.

Oh yeah, and you may wonder why there are so many photo’s of animals eg, dogs, birds and cats.  There’s so many around that I can’t help but take picture’s of the little creatures.
