Yes! Arrived at Santa Marta at about 18:00 local time. The marina was expecting us and we are now firmy tied up to a pontoon next to another boat who is also in the same rally. We are the first two.

Went out for a well earned beer (1st alcohol in 6 days) and a bite to eat with our new friends.

Santa Marta is a fairly lively town with a nice promonade where we could try to get out Land Legs back.

The overall trip can be summed up as 2 days of bouncy weather in the Bahamas, followed by 1 day of calm weather in the Windward Passage, followed by 2.5 days of mixed weather crossing the Caribbean. 850 miles in 5.5 days. The patch of sea just north of Colombia is known for high seas and strong winds, so I think we got off lightly and not bad going. It is sooo nice to have everything stay still for a change!!

We will do the Immigration/Customs stuff in the morning and then we can explore the town a bit and tidy up while we wait for the rest of the "fleet" to arrive.

Thank you to everyone who has been watching over our progress on theis trip and checking that we are still afloat. On those dark and windy nights, it was comforting to know that there was someone out there who would notice if we went missing.

We will be staying put for several days before heading off to Cartagena (our next stop). So no more updates on this blog until we start moving again. As soon as we get internet sorted, we will catch up on e-mail to everyone.

Best Wishes,
