Everything Fine!
As forecast, we are now in very light winds with
flat seas. We managed to sail yesterday until sunset when the winds died
completely. We then motored through the night in mill-pond conditions under a
clear sky, leaving a glittering phosphorescent wake. (Very pretty). This morning we are motor-sailing. Visited by a pod of
dolphins. These ones were fairly small with white tips on their
noses?
Have decided to divert to Ill a Vache on the SW
corner of Haiti. We were planning on stopping there at some stage anyway as we
have been told it is like turning back the clock 50 years. We understand that
the island has no electricity or running water, but the natives are supposed to
be friendly. We should arrive tomorrow morning. We will then stay there for a
few days, or until some better winds arrive for the sail round to
Cuba.
Will send another update tomorrow.
Love and Best Wishes,
J&G
