Arrived at Marin in Martinique on Thursday after another rather “lumpy” sail up from St Lucia. (What’s happening to the weather as we are getting much stronger winds than usual). Anyway, Marin is VERY French, so good coffee and bread are available. We have also started to load up on French wine and cheese. Also on the cards is a check out of all the boat systems, as we have quite a long sail coming up to get to the Dominican Republic. We are planning to set off for this before the end of Feb. This will be a downwind sail, so we are hoping for a more comfortable ride than the beats to the north- east that we have been having since we left Grenada. We will see.
