Before we left Lombok we did a boat trip to the
Gili Islands; those are three small islands between Lombok and Bali, famous for
their beaches and snorkeling. We went with two Dutch couples and had a great
day. Late that day we left and did an overnight sail to get to Lovina Beach on
Bali. We had a good sail and have been here now for a few days. It is very busy
here not only with 60+ Sail Indonesia boats, but also tourists. Good eating
places and no shortage of Hindu temples. We did a tour by car with driver
yesterday and saw only a little bit of Bali. We should have done what a number
of people did and that is spend a few days in accommodation in the south. But
there is always next year. We'll spend about one week here.
