Wodong to Riung Flores

It was two days sailing from Wodong to Riung, where
the next festivities are for the rally. We made one overnight stop, where we
were the only boat. In Riung it is a different story, there are about 30 boats
anchored around us. The locals organized a welcome ceremony yesterday with
dancing and traditional fighting/boxing. Again we are made extremely
welcome and were given another scarf. Today we did a tour in a local truck,
including local passengers on the roof. It was not comfortable but we survived.
It is interesting to see that the villages on different islands are so very
different. Today we visited a school and the kids sang and danced for us. The
school was very primitive, just like Africa. Tonight more dancing and tomorrow
another tour and another Gala dinner ( not my birthday this time). We'll give
tomorrow's tour a miss, but will do the marine tour by boat the day after. And
then we'll move on again. All good fun.
