dive in the pass. They swam with dolphins this time, even managed to touch them.
Also a big mantharay swam amongst them. All this was put on film by a
professional camera man. So needless to say we paid a small fortune for
a DVD with the team diving, plus the best scenes of Rangiroa. I must say it
was very well done and personalized. We left Rangiroa early Thursday morning. Once we
were safely through the pass the heavens opened. We have never seen so much
rain, it just did not stop. Poor Stefan and Jael suffered a bit with the heavy
seas, so they did not enjoy their first night at sea much. We did however have a
great time; we caught our first Yellow Fin Tuna and a big one too nearly 6 kg.
And then just before dark we caught two more, one on each line. Duncan spent
ages filleting them, but we now have tuna in the freezer. The next day was
better and we had a gentle sail. The crew got another taste of night sailing as
we did not arrive in Cook's Bay, Moorea until after 11 at night. Ewan and
Logic were there already so they guided us in and we had a nearly full
moon. The next day we woke up to spectacular scenery. Last night we enjoyed tuna steaks with
Questionable Logic crew and today we hiked in the hills and enjoyed the
views of the bays. We will move tomorrow to a shallower spot near the
reef where the snorkeling is better. We are hoping to snorkel with
rays.
