                | 21.16.05 S  156.09.89 E We were sorry to leave what could well be our last
South Pacific Paradise Island. Chesterfield Reef was stunning. Water various
shades of blue, white sand small islands with thousands of birds nesting on the
shrubs. Many of the birds had chicks. The booby chicks are big and fluffy. It
was also a area where turtles come to lay their eggs. We saw plenty of evidence,
but unless you spend the night on the beach you cannot see them. We did watch
some very big turtles mating in the water not far from us. Unfortunately is was
very windy, so we did not snorkel; too many waves. We had a good run yesterday, wind was less during
the night, but has picked up again today so we are doing nicely. Two days and
two nights to go to Bundaberg, Australia. |
