Jolly Harbour,
Antigua
We duly set sail at 0700 and arrived in the marina at
Jolly Harbour and moored at the Horizon Yacht Charters jetty,
where we made very welcome. As we are going to stay until after Christmas we
were very pleased to have a berth next to the marina exit. Booking into
the marina was easy but clearing customs, immigration and harbour dues was
a complete nightmare because the harbour office was closed until after
Christmas. Anyway way had to book in at Nelson Harbour which involved a very
hairy bus trip via St John's, the capital.
Apart from all that we had a wonderful Christmas with
partying at Shirley Heights, and a Christmas Day Party with 2000 other people at
Nelsons Dockyard,as well as very hectic Christmas
Eve - Phil will tell you all about it if you ask.
After all that we left at 0700 (again!) on boxing day
for an overnighter to the British Virgin
Islands.
