OFF CAPE
FINISTERRE
We sailed straight downwind for most
of the night. The headsail was goosewinged on the spinnaker pole. The main
had a preventer set to avoid a gybe. The autopilot tracked us straight.
Our first shark was sighted. Too far away to get the species.
At 2pm we were off Cape Finisterre.
We have covered 460 miles since Thurday afternoon and intend to put in to
Bayona tonight for fuel, do a 50 hour first oil and filter change on the engine
and give the crew a run ashore.

READY FOR SEA BACK IN FRANCE Sawsea Lady moved for the first time to the fuel berth.. David thinks he is the Skipper but the real boss Terri, David's wife, is monitoring the refuelling before she leaves for home.

Party time - Terri gets us in the mood for the christening party.
Finally on Thursday 26th October we leave France. We were delayed by a series of force 8 and 9 gales !
