After almost 3 weeks on the boat, it was time to go back to the marina as Mitch and Elle had to fly back to Australia on the 15th Jan. We left our favourite spot and motored 3.5 hours to arrive back to the marina at high tide at lunchtime. It was nice to see our marina friends after a few weeks and to introduce them to the kids. We had a great lunch at the small marina cafe and the kids ventured out for another night in Patong, another shopping expedition and a visit to the Tiger Kingdom (for Elle) and go karting (for Mitch). They arrived back to the boat the next afternoon with about 4 hours before they had to fly home. I went to yoga and then we all caught up for a few farewell beverages at the local marina bar called The Haven. It was a very relaxing few weeks and Elle who had never been on a boat before did really well. It would have been a shock to her system to compete in the Walcha campdraft the day she arrived home!
