Sam made good use of the engine running yesterday
which heats the water and washed his hair; even asked me if I had some
conditioner!! Yesterdays run was 134 nm; again woke up by Ed who wasn't quite
sure what to do with the boat powering along at 8 knots in 30 knots of wind!
Looks like a quiet night tonight however, currently motor sailing in very
light winds at 4.5 kts. Found the genny furling line badly chafed so
replaced that today although the replacement line ended up 10 ft too short so we
re routed it. Dont want that breaking when we're trying to reduce sail as
it has the opposite effect by letting out the whole sail!
Saw dolphins yesterday playing at the bow; Ed was
in his bunk for'd and could hear them talking!
Great breakfast today, bacon, eggs, fried potato
and fried bread, superb, washed down with tea made with soy milk which is
surprisingly good.
