After getting supplies in Nidri and sailing for 2 hours, we’re now on another island called Nisos Meganisi. The bay is called Ormos Kapali. Anchored in a small bay, we’ve taken 2 lines ashore to tie the back of the boat to the island to stop it swinging on the anchor as there is not enough room for that (the boat, not the island). Very quiet here, just 4 other boats near by, all tied up like us. Water is very clear and warm with a few fish and now the wind has dropped its lovely. No jetskis, water ski-iers or unclothed germans to spoil the view or tranquillity.

According to Andy there is a Taverna 10 mins walk from the shore here, but as I suspected on looking at the map it looks more like a 10hr hike.

Spotted Heinz Tomato Soup in the supermarket in Nidri and had to buy it even though at 2euros its twice the price it is in UK. Saving it for a special moment. It was very touristy in Nidri so also found an English newsagents so bought a newspaper and Heat magazine….

Unfortunately the mossies have found me and I have nice bites on my forehead and one on my chin.

Andy has put wings on the dinghy today to make it go faster.

Now we’ve found a quiet spot will prob stay here for a few days. So far have moved every morning early, with exception of Monday, so looking forward to no travelling tomorrow
