We arrived at the beautiful island of Martinique (I have a French script learned on the crossing, I hope I can manage it). The approach to the island was lovely with calm waters and a gentle breeze. Chloe and Thyl were quickly making a courtesy flag as we hadn't bought one. They made it from the code flag letter T which had to have the colours swapped and restitched deftly by Chloe.
We have all had a celebratory beer and relived the best moments (and some of the worst) We have had some street food and a night tour of Fort De France, it is great to be back on land and a little sad that this part of the adventure is now done. Everyone is making plans for their next adventure and South America and Mexico are on the agenda. Fast paced for a doddering skipper like me who will be chilling out with Tracey when we finally get together.
I mistakenly gave Tracey the wrong Marina and we didn't meet up until 24 hours after arrival 😞
Chloe, Thyl and Ilja are busy cleaning the boat and laundering the bedding, towels and cushion covers and have very kindly allowed me to duck out of it to let me be reunited with Tracey.
Chloe, Thyl and Ilja have been fantastic crew and have had a really positive impact on morale during the trip. I will miss them and their enthusiasm for life as I settle back into sedate island hopping and touring with Tracey and Magic Pelagic.
I wish them all well for their upcoming travel plans and thank them wholeheartedly for a great Atlantic Crossing. Tracey and I will continue to update the blog during our caribbean travels and would like to thank all our followers who we hope will continue to watch us bumbling along.
My french Translator has gone AWOL so update in French to follow
