This is the island that boasts to be the first place that Christopher Columbos set foot in the new world! We anchored right at the spot that the memorial is placed .
which is marked by a white cross.

The view from where the cross is on shore - just beautiful and we took some nice pics of our boat 'Amazing Grace'

There is a description but its hard to read but mostly it states that Christopher Columos first set foot here in the New World on 12th Oct 1492

There are also several modern memorial, one from the Japanese!

Close by is a huge Olmypic Monument for when mexico was hosting the Olympics and the flame was brought ashore here
