After Statia, on to St. Martin - a full day's sail at around 44 miles - and I'm at anchor again next to the marina at Marigot on the French half of the island. Apparently the Dutch side are placing exorbitant fees upon entering yachts, so as a result there seem to be about 300 yachts anchored where I am now (that and the advent of the Heineken regatta). Tucked in, as usual, closer than all of the other boats in a more protected spot and have spent today bussing and walking across the island to Simpson bay and on to the airport, where i am now awaiting my racing crew for the following days...

I'm also the proud new, less wealthy owner of a 22 inch wifi antenna, which I'll stick on the boat somewhere and, theoretically, hop onto peoples' unsecured and hence *free* wifi from a mile away to check weather etc. In theory...

So we'll be deigning to take on the little boats like this one (pictured) in a bit of a race. I think we'll probably win.
