20 June : Crew Departure

Yacht Ariel
Henry Adams

Its a bright sunny morning in Horta and the crew is sad to be leaving the good times on Ariel for his studies.  We've had a great passage, plenty of excitement with those depressions, some pleasant downwind sailing with a sprinkling of the much wetter upwind to remind us to appreciate it!

I have a few thank you's : Firstly to the Adams family on mass for all contributions to this - in particular Myf for the chocolate supply (the kilos of dariy milk took the punch out of any blow!) and Ian for running off and purchasing two new waterproof cushions minuters before departure which increased comfort massively.  To Foshy (from the outbound leg) for advice and waterproof lending.  To my own parents for their usual organisation extraordinaire, and for worrying far too much about me.  And lastly to H - who dealt with having said smelly stowaway on his pride and joy for a few weeks with great tolerance and good humour.

Yesterday we left our mark on Pontoon B...

Lots of love Jez x
