I think I sent the last entry from The Sound of Mull, but anyway we motored most of the first day, electing to take the scenic route until Barra, passing through the Sound near Pabbay as it went dark. Then it was straight into heavy confused seas, plenty of water and wind; 2 reefs and staysail. Accompanied of course with a very dark and grey sky. It was generally felt not to be champagne sailing! Indeed there were some sea salts on board who were disappointed to have felt a bit queasy.

 

Today Thursday has been different again as we passed through the centre of the low, motoring with sun out.  Now all alone with no ships on the AIS heading for the Vesterman Islands.
