The crossing to Greenland was mainly in light winds, so a fair bit of motoring was the order of the day. Navigating in ice at the best of times can be a bit of pot luck. Sat photos and charts exist but they always seem out of date. Today was no exception and we ended down the wrong route, failed to get through and retraced our steps. About 30 mile of effort to no avail. We are making better progress now having headed south and then west and then hopefully north.  The other feature of joy in all of this is invariably the coastal ice has fog overlaid, making it very difficult to plot a route.  The crew are learning quick!
