Well the weather relented and we are now further south having passed Cape Chidley at the top corner of Canada in this neck of the woods (though actually there are no trees here as we still to far north!)The anchorage we are in is just to the south of the MacLelan strait which separates the islands to the north from the mainland of north America. So in theory we can now walk to Tierra Del Fuego from here without resorting to a boat.....not sure we will try though as the polar bears that prowl the area may be hungry by this time of year!
