We have now crossed the Arctic Circle and King Neptune made an appearance ( bringing a cake made of loads of slimy things; as well as a bottle of Squids blood (which luckily tasted a bit like red wine to me so I can recommend it!) Trish and I had to appease him with a “circle dance” on the bow as it was our first crossing of the line by sea. He seemed amused and we were allowed to pass and have reached Aasiaat where we have a chance to get laundry done (yippee!). We came north via Hamborgersund which was stunning (see photo of fiord). (No q’s in this one and I think even I can translate it!.... )Incidentally most signs here are in both Danish and Greenlandic and the photo shows that Danish is hard enough to understand, but the alternative is impossible ) Must now go and get another slice of that cake, mustn’t upset Neptune by letting him think it’s horrid!
