Left Rio Dulce on May 17th. Quite a relief to be back at sea again and to clean, snake free waters. Just learned that there are various poisonous snakes frequenting the marina and the waters we stayed at, no wonder we were the only ones swimming.

We are well anchored in a bay called Puerto Escondido15.54N 87.37W
off the main land of Honduras on our way to the Bay islands.

A lovely coconut-lined beach rings almost the entire
bay, and parrots squawk in the trees and howler monkeys roar.

Saw some smoke coming from the forest and did think about cannibals. However, this morning prospect cannibal materialized as fisher man in dug out canoe selling us fine tunas which we just enjoyed the sushi way.

We are loving being back to sailing life after a month on land. It is a truly wonderful free
feeling!
