After a day wandering around the Old Town and art galleries in Concarneau,
we sailed on to Camaret. It was fairly lumpy going around Penmarch, but
after that we had a fast reach up through the Raz de Sein and into Camaret.
After the first night at anchor, we went alongside the marina for the second
where, instead of riding nicely to our chain, we were bumped against the
pontoon by the wash from passing ferries and fishing boats! But the moules
ashore were very good!

Then it was through a windless and smooth Chanel de Four, and into
L'Aberwrach, which was at its most picturesque in bright sunshine with
vibrant early summer colours. We lay to a mooring off the new and much
larger marina, and having got the dinghy afloat, I went on an exploration up
to Paluden. I can see why it is so well recommended, but it might be a tight
turn for PROGRESS. We are now back in an area where the tidal influence is much stronger than further south, both in the strength of the streams and the way in which the seascapes change as the water ebbs and flows.

And then another windless motor along the north coast into Trebeurden,
another spot which only changes slowly. We have now reached the areas where
short term holiday cruises get to, and I thought that the marina was
wickedly expensive. But it is still a nice place to come to.
