where did christmas go?!

well its now the 28th december and christmas is officially over for another year, its amazing how quickly the festive season passes by. now we have new year to look forward to before setting our sights firmly on the finish.
for so many people their new years resolution is to loose weight or get fit, for both i cannot recommend any higher the "atlantic rowing diet and excercise plan". the plan simply consists of choosing an ocean, packing some dehydrated rations, and rowing for a minimum of 12 hours per day until you get to the other side! i can gaurantee that you will loose weight or your money back!

nialls mp3 player continues to facinate me, it now turns on and off whenever it pleases and plays everything apart from the track you have selected. niall is becoming a firm fan of the rapper he refers to as 'm and m', but thinks that he is a bit angry.

progress has been painfully slow the last day or so, the seas have been in all manner of directions and the wind unfavourable. today there was very little of either so we were rowing hard and getting pretty much nowhere. fortunately it has started to pick up again now, also nial and i are making a concerted effort to row as hard as possible so hope to beneft from this soon.
last night the sky was spectacular, i never realised how many stars there were out there. niall tried to point out the milky way, but i was just trying to remember the theme tune from the advert.

we were lucky enough to see moby dick today, very close to the boat. niall spotted him whilst rowing and despite almost breaking my back and leg to get out of the cabin, he was gone just before i could hit record on the video camera.

well il keep this one brief, im a little tired and my brian isnt working properly!
