rude awakening!

hi everyone,

well its day 18 and we have been away for the uk for over a month now. the time has really flown by and we are quickly nearing the halfway stage of our journey.  each day goes by in the blink of an eye although the nights a little slower. last night went particularly slow for me, during my 2nd break i managed to fall asleep only to be woken by a rush of sea water which had managed to find its way through the air vent soaking me and absolutely everything else! i tried frantically to clear up the water before it destroyed our laptop and other equipment and when sufficiently satisfied i put on my raincoat and went back to sleep on the soaking sleeping bag.
the sea has been pretty nuts for a few days now, the waves seem to come from all angles so the shifts are spent steering rather than rowing. we are both being constantly knocked off the seat and the constant crashing of waves over the side means that we are both covered in salt. as a result our backsides are in a bad way again which is very annoying as we almost had them under control. by my reckoning we are due a few good days soon, ive already put in a request to the man upstairs.

as ive mentioned before, when we finish we will become 2 of very few peolpe to have ever done this, therefore 99.9% of the population will never experiece:-
a feeling of sitting on razor blades for 12 hours a day
a maximum of 45 minutes sleep at one time
a menu with only 4 options
trying to go to the toilet on a bucket which moves like a bucking bronco
sores and blisters everywhere
niall spread legged and lubricating........

niall is slowly being dragged down to my intellectual level, he is currently making words up such as 'directionality' and his latest gem on me requesting the temptations on his mp3 he replied 'is that under the or t'?!

hi to all of my family mum, dad, jess (of course), sam, stacey, austin, grahame and the kids erin, tayler and evie. they have been emailing me every day which has been great. they all feel such a part of this adventure and i cant wait to see them when i get back to the uk.

quick question, jess and i will be geeting 2 puppies when i get back to the uk, a girl and a boy. now we have a name for the boy but have no clue what to call the girl so suggestions would be welcome. oh and keep it clean please.

its saturday today so most of you will have finished work until after christmas, enjoy the festive period and remember dont drink and drive!
