After weeks of preparation we are finally ready to go! Orshi has been a star organising food and water for our journey, and we cant thank her enough! Mat does what he does best, running around like a duracell rabbit getting the boat ready one fix at a time. Ritchie has kept his cool, as always, something that I (Emil) have been in need of, I’ve been pumped like a race horse on steroids. Coral arrived on friday and came with energy and laughter.

For the past few days we have been monitoring all weather forecasts known to man, so we can make a good decision on which route to take. Here we are, hours away from start and we are still aren’t too sure which route to take, but we will start heading south and see what happens. Latest forecast shows 15-20 knots of wind at the acceleration zone and then 10-15 knots if we are lucky. Should be an interesting start!

It is such a sight to see all 200+ boats and all the people running around the docks getting ready, order from chaos.
