We’ve had good winds overnight and most of today although they are dropping off a bit now the evening is drawing in.  We are heading a bit further south as we think there may be better wind there.   It’s been a quiet day, overcast with a bit of light drizzle.  One high spot was the passing of 2000 miles on the log.

As we enter what is the final run in (subject to wind) its interesting to look at the fruit and veg situation.  We’ve still got fresh apples, oranges, lemons and melon which have all lasted well in hammock type nets.  We were disappointed with the carrots which went off very quickly.  Perhaps the unexpected star veg has been the tomatoes which are still fresh and in good condition.  I suspect it is due to their being wrapped in the Financial Times when the futures market was obviously looking good.  In the Daily Mirror, I’m sure they’d have gone off by now.
