The winds have been very light again today and progress somewhat slow.  We’ve tried various sail combinations of sail and even tried motoring for a while but the vibration we experienced recently was there again.  We strapped a camera to the boat hook and lowered it over the side to inspect the prop again.  There seems some rope and weed around it and whilst it turns fine its very unbalanced and vibrates at cruising revs. So we are just putting up with a bit of slow but relaxing sailing.

Phil baked a chocolate cake today – his first although it was under supervision.  The rest of the crew ate Jennies fish for dinner but it was so big, we’ve kept some for a later meal.  That doesn’t mean that Phil had cake and the rest had fish, we all had cake and Phil had a chilli instead of fish if that makes sense now.

This afternoon we played Russian roulette poker.  We’re not quite sure of the rules so there was an inhibiting factor but the way we played it was great fun.  It involved having a card on your forehead and I’ll leave the rest to your imagination.

Despite the light winds there are still some angry looking clouds around us at times and these can bring sudden squalls.  One such cloud approached us this morning and the sea beneath it was what can only be described as ‘funny’.  It was different from the rest of the sea so we promptly reefed sails in preparation but in the event it skirted past us.

With a more favourable wind predicted tomorrow progress should improve!
