We are now due south of the UK and making good progress towards Cape Town, with only 900 miles to go. Today it is Lawrences (1st Mate) birthday, and the wheelhouse has been decked out in balloons and banners, and Lawrence has dressed up in a shirt and tie.
Last night i made a cake for the Birthday festivities, which comprised a chocolate cake, nutella filling and chocolate icing. Everything was ok except for the icing and so i had to add more chocolate to get it to set, so there was loads, and it filled the bottom of the cake tub, about 2cm deep, and so is born the "chocolate lake cake".
Not aiming directly at Cape Town at the moment as we are trying to get North of some weather, so our course is 055 rather than 083 which is the direct course, but we are still hoping to be in in good time.
