at 3:25 pm December 14th we hit 1000 miles to go!  It is hit or miss whether we will make it to land before Christmas.  If today's weather  is any indication, probably not, because the wind has died away and we are motoring for a few hours to charge the batteries.

We have had a number of rain squalls go though, early Sunday morning, 3am,  we had the worse one, this one had thunder and lightening and went right over us.  At least three of the strikes were immediately followed by loud booms, scary when we're the tallest thing around.  Because of the wind direction we ended up doing about 6 miles due south at good speed, unfortunately we didn't really want to go south.  Last night was calmer, we had some showers but no lightening.

We're enjoying ourselves , litening to CDs, reading and hanging out with the pups.
