No Power...

Dear friends and collegues.

It's with great sadness we inform you that the batteries are not getting charged when the engines are run. The "automatic charger" unit has died hence, none of the batteries are being charged. We have some 12V left in them and the entire afternoon we've been steering "manually" (by tying a rope to the wheel) to preserve power. Fortunately the engine was already running and has been so since last night.
Besides that, the day has been very nice and the sun has been looking after us all day and evening. At the moment we are enjoying a glass of wine, watching the sunset.
To get the most out of what little wind there is left, we are "tacking" with the wind in on our port quarter at the moment and at midnight, we will take it on our stb Q. We are currently in position N29.35.9 W064.09.7 and we are looking at an arrival to St George's Bermuda, early Thursday morning, if we've navigated right that is. If we look really lost at the blog, please send us an email and give us the right course.
Now to our parents, and Meredith who probably think loosing the power is like loosing the power in your home. Well, it is! We have lots of gadgets that run on separate batteries and we still have 24 hours left on the battery bank, so we are in good spirits. The blog update has been suffering from this minor cut back, but we'll try to update tomorrow (read Wednesday) again, if the batteries allows.

Until next time, may God be with you all, 'cause me and Miia are terribly busy as you understand...

Ps, today I promoted the cook to Chef!
