The forecast for the weekend is very breezy, with aggressive rain squalls later on Sunday and Monday. We head for the Bight on Norman Island - 'an exceptionally well sheltered anchorage' according to the pilot. After a cracking sail back from Jost, we detour via Sopers Hole for some provisions and ice and a little shopping. It's a good marina nad very picturesque, but somewhat claustrophobic after the islands, so we sail on to Norman.
It is very sheltered, the swimming's good and there are tracks all over the island, so some needed early morning brisk walking's in order to keep the 'rum tum' at bay. A short dinghy ride away, the caves offer good snorkelling over very pretty coral and Geoff fits in a reef dive with Blue Water Divers. IWe al know the area quite well, so it's good to stay for a couple of days without the pressure to hare all over the place for the sake of it.

Sailing from Jost, and a lunchtime something in Sopers Hole
