Monday morning dawned fine and with less breeze
than the day before. During the the night, the moon had risen, a quarter
crescent glimpsed through the open hatch. An early morning swim followed by
a brisk walk on Monday morning completed the day's exercise programme before
some more boat jobs, including solving a leak in the fresh water
system - two steps forward and one back.
The sail to Roadtown is an easy reach in a fresh
breeze and we pass the Queen Mary 2 anchored outside the harbour; she's a
very impressive sight, dwarfing the other two cruise ships in the dock.
Tied up in Village Quay Marina, the weather closes in, and Geoff and Val
eventually arrive around 10 in the evening, totally drenched and looking like
drowned rats. By morning it's clear again - breakfast and coffee in the
cockpit.
