Walked along the shoreline at Cangas this morning and visited the derelict canning factory. This had employed hundreds of local women until overtaken by automation. There has been huge argument locally as to whether the shell of the old buildings should be preserved. A hippy commune has taken over some of the workersâ houses.

 

Left Cangas at 1300 and beat gently down the rÃa to anchor off the beach at Barra in hot sunshine. Rowed ashore for a paseo and a swim by SMB! Water only 19 degrees so a bit chilly.

 

Back on board and managed to get the Iridium linked to the computer. This is our first attempt at sending an email this way.
