Sorry missed last nights update as I was on late
and irt was another squallly night witn Tim getting the worst of it with heavy
rain in a squall Kept busy with reefing and
unreefing the sail to keeo up with the wind changes.
We have definately passed the half way stsge so
will be counting down the days from now on.
I mentioned earlier that Tim fixed the leaking
window, Since then we have had a number of rogue waves hitting us on the
starboard side (like the side of the boat being hit by a hammer) and this has
made it leak again so a second repair was done this morning with a wooden strip
screwed over the window to reinforce it as we were concerned that the window
might be broken off if caugth by another wave.
I mentioned ealier that we had seen dophins a
couple of times, well since then we have seen nothing, including ships.
we have seen 2 ships on AIS but not the actual
vessel
Yesterday started with a very lumpy sea with and
uncomfortable swell, also cloudy. The swell gradually improved over the day, but
we had to run the generator to top up the batteries because of the lack of
sunshine for the solar panels. Very good Thai chicken curry the last 2 nights.
We have eaten well so far but will be on mostly tinned foode from now on. Thr
citrus fruit hsd lasted well.
