What a difference a day makes! In contrast to wednesday, thursday has been wonderful. The sea was settled and after breakfast we poled out the second jib (getting quite slick at it now), he wind picked up and we have been speeding along ever since. The clouds cleared, the sun came out and it has been a most enjoyabe day. At dusk we took down the poled out jib, the wind increased to 20 ish knots so we are still going well on the single jib. So far we have not even raised the mainsail using just the headsails.  Before he moon came up the stars were magnificent. Its rolly again but none of us mind as we are doing so well. Also we have at last got used to it. Hopefully we are through the squally belt.
One of the best pieces of equipment we have has been our head torches. They have been so useful - allowing you to work, or just hold on, also they cause minimal disturbance to those trying to sleep in the cabin ie making a cup of tea.
We are getting to the end of our fresh food, some grapefruit and oranges left but tins and ready meals from now on, as well as pasta.
Rubbish. A problem on boats but we have managed extremely well. Cartons and packaging was thrown out when stocking up (including some cooking instructions), vegetable matter, glass tinds and biodergadable stuff goes over the side and ALL plastic is kept - so we have three bags stored in the anchor locker for disposal on arrival. Hope I don't have to open the locker to anchor!
Thoughts are turning to the idea that we might arrive sometime.
