We are doing well with our twin headsail rig in the day, even in quite strong winds of 25 knots+, taking the hanked on sail down at night to be cautious. Now the pole is rigged it is easy to hoist the sail again in the morning. I did not get to do the blog yesterday as I was on early and there were frequent showery squalls so the computer would have got wet. Tonight is another amazing light night with a full moon and real shadows. Squalls are about but so far we have missed them
This trip has found a new weakness in the boat. The side windows in the hull leak! With the big swell and rolling there are times when the windows are actually under water - a bit disconcerting when you look out and see sea, like being in a subnarine. The worst offending window is above the galley (kitchen) and the spices and sauces were all getting wet.
So when it was calmer yestersday Tim and Trish set about putting some silicone sealer around the window and seem to hsve fixed it.
We hope to be at the half way mark sometime tomorrrow.
