Just after dawn (0800) we were greeted to a school of about 50 small grey spotty dolphins alongside and in the bow wave. I saw 6 do a perfectly cordinated dive in the waves, others were leaping out and they put on a great show. Tim was veryt excited and tried to video them for Trish. I gusess he got a few seconds of therie display. They stayed for about half and hour and then were off to play elsewhere.
A quieter day wirth a little less rolling. .
Got a message that there is a low developing mid atlantic and this may affect the trrade winds, so we are heading in a more sourtherly direction to keep the wind in out favour!.
We r still having trouble getting the batteries fully charged. I spent the morning checking them but did not find one that was pulling the others down. I guess that we are just using more electricity that we can make in the day even with the good solar panels. Also rearranged the food supply on the bunk in our cabin so that was worthwhile.
Ran the engine for about 2 hours as well as the watermaker. It still leaks a bit! but got about 20 l water. unfortunately after flushing with fresh water I did not turn the water pressure pump off so it stopped working. I was hoping it just hot and shut down bnut it looks as thogh I will have to change it in the morning.
It is not quite the longest night bnut certainly the darkest! The stars are out but don't shed much light.
