Sprang out of bed to find the wind blowing from the South, all 6 knots of it! Hooray - no more beating today!  Motored all the way to Torrevieja (37:58.24N, 000:41.01W) with the southerly increasing all the time. Spent a happy hour in the pool at Marina Saltina; followed by a simple but excellent meal at a local cafe.

The flying fish incident! Four days and nights; no other boat around; Phil's hand-crafted netting all around the ship, signs saying 'no flying fish required'! Sadly, Juan Antonio jumped on board and was found stiff and well fried on the aft quarter deck in the morning. We tried the recovery position and resuscitation, but his number was up! His family has been informed. He was laid to rest after a short humanist ceremony and then casually slung over the side. R.I.P....JA.
