Wind E NE F3-4. Sea state: smooth to slight.  Good weather!

This is our fourth day at sea, and the mood on board is good! Everybody is enjoying the warm sunny days! With the African continent and the Sahara desert in such proximity, the temperature is rising by the day. We are still heading SSW on a down-wind run straight towards Isla Graciosa and Lanzarote (210nm). Average speed during the last 24h has slightly improved to 5.5kn, due to optimised sail trim, e.g. boomed-out genoa, etc. The weather forecast for the next 48h shows much less wind, so we might not be able to keep up that speed. Also, new ETA is now Wed 28.Oct 18.00UTC.

Our email and weather forecasting via satellite works fine, we are downloading GFRIB files once a day. And also otherwise we are busy testing and trying all equipment and procedures on board, so this passage really makes the perfect dress-rehearsal for the ARC!

Next update tomorrow!
