Position 42 02.26N, 70 10.92W

This is where the Pilgrims arrived in the Mayflower back in 1620 after their Atlantic crossing. There is a huge granite monument honouring their arrival - at 252 feet, it is the tallest granite structure in the USA. We arrived yesterday in the fog from Gloucester (46 miles) and couldn't even see it !!!

We stopped off here on our way North last July but it is certainly a lot less crowded this time of year.

Off through the Cape Cod Canal tomorrow...
