Success all round as we got the generator back on
line today giving us the ability to charge batteries, make water and therefore
shower as things were getting a little rich to say the least. We celebrated our
success by baking bread which actually turned out quite edible. The settled
weather finally reached us today giving us a more moderate swell and 12-15 knots
of wind and should stay for a few days giving the rowers a good chance to put
some West in. As a crew we are settling in well and looking forward to the
excellent sailing these lattitudes and Desiderata will provide, hopefully with
our equipment teething problems now behind us we can concentrate on the job of
supporting the Rowing teams and solo's who have sacrificed so much to be out
here fullfiling their dreams.
