We’re now at position: "34:21.31N 13:01.09W". All going well – swell from the last 24 hrs was down to about 2 metres, but with long wave-length, true Atlantic rollers – very peaceful. After hurtling along at 8.5-9 knots plus for the first 20 hrs or so, the next 24 hrs was rather more relaxing, but still chugging along very well at around 7 knots. Subsequently the wind died so we put the engine on at about 11pm last night (6th Nov) – we won’t have this luxury after Las Palmas. Here some pics of going up the mast and from up top – this livened things up when everyone had gone a bit quiet! PS: working from heights – I was tied on with two safety lines. There’s also a pic of dawn breaking about an hour ago..
